When I started Cedar Valley Workshop it was on a whim. I just wanted to keep woodworking and since I like working with Cedar, lived near Cedar Avenue, and in a town of Apple Valley I came up with "Cedar Valley Workshop.
Yeah, not that original and I didn't have much connection to it. As time went on and my woodworking journey found its niche I realized that a large majority of my woodworking was to military members. Specifically the alumni network of my alma mater, the United States Air Force Academy. I wanted to honor that and find a name that more closely reflects my shop and my customers.
Many of my items are going away gifts, or retirement gifts recognizing a person's sacrifice and service. And for those of you that graduated from the Zoo, well, you know the other connection.
Welcome to Recognition Woodworks. Chins In!
